The Prosecutors
The defendants were all tried before the International Military Tribunal, which was created by the Allied Forces of World War II. The judges were also representatives of those countries. The chief prosecutors were:
Robert Jackson was the prosecutor for the United States.
Hartley Shawcross was the prosecutor for the United Kingdom.
General R.A. Rudenko was the prosecutor for the Soviet Union.
François de Menthon was one of the prosecutors for France.
Auguste Champetier de Ribes was the other prosecutor from France.
