Lesser Nuremberg Trials
After the main trial was over, other trials continued in Nuremberg for over 2 years for members of lesser importance in the Nazi party. Trials took place from December 6, 1946, to April 13, 1949. Overall, 142 our of the 185 defendants were found guilty. Of that number, 24 received death sentences, of which 11 were converted to life imprisonment. 20 were given life sentences. 98 received prison sentences, and 35 were acquitted. 4 were removed from the trial due to illness, and 4 committed suicide during the trial.
